On the occasion of La Mercè, Barcelona invites a different city from around the world to participate each year. Both cities engage in a joint artistic working process, generating synergies, exchanging experiences, acquiring new insights, and fostering connections among artists, companies, and cultural agents from both cities. For the 2025 edition, the guest city is Manchester, with which Barcelona shares an industrial and labour movement history, as well as a rich cultural heritage linked to the creative industries. This event for professionals will address key topics related to artistic practices in public spaces, placing particular emphasis on diversity and community-building, which are central elements in the DNA of both cities. The event is aimed at Catalan street arts professionals, particularly festival programmers, as well as artists, organisations, and cultural institutions interested in community participation.
