A Sea of Words is a Euro-Mediterranean literary creation contest launched in 2008 by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMED) and the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF). It provides young people with a space to express themselves through literature while promoting dialogue, peace, and mutual understanding. Each edition focuses on a key topic, such as diversity, gender equality, climate change, or intercultural dialogue. The 2025 edition, “The Mediterranean we imagine”, invites participants to envision alternative futures in the face of conflicts, inequalities, and the climate crisis, in line with MONDIACULT 2025.
