What does it mean to look at the world from other places, other bodies, other realities? What happens when we deprogram dominant narratives to make room for imaginaries that connect culture with social and environmental justice?

Drawing on the HAMACA archive —a benchmark in experimental video and artists’ cinema in Spain— we present a selection of 10 audiovisual works curated specifically for Culturopolis. This visual journey, organised as an open-air cinema for cultural rights, dialogues with the main themes of the Barcelona Declaration on Cultural Rights: housing, health, migration, territory, diversity, feminism, rural life, just ecological transition, and economic democracy.

Through heterogeneous perspectives and radical languages, this selection invites audiences to deprogram the world: to question norms, challenge official narratives, and open space for desirable ways of life that activate possible futures. It is a commitment to the audiovisual as a tool for political activation, collective memory, and cultural transformation.
