A meeting to learn from the public-community processes promoted by IberCultura Viva.

What is a culture point? What practices and values define it? How can networks of culture points develop projects rooted in territory, connected to communities and with a transformative vocation?

This learning community, co-organised with IberCultura Viva (a programme of the Ibero-American General Secretariat – SEGIB), offers a shared immersion into community cultural management experiences from Latin America, with special attention to the Culture Points movement, born in Brazil during Gilberto Gil’s mandate as Minister of Culture. This inspiring model has evolved and expanded in various countries, weaving a living network of grassroots cultural projects.

The aim is to exchange practical knowledge on the functioning of these public–community ecosystems: how to activate a network, the role of communities and institutions, which public policies can support these processes, and how this model can be adapted to different territorial contexts, such as Catalonia or Barcelona.

An opportunity to rethink culture as a right and a common good, based on South–North dialogue and mutual learning between transformative experiences.
