Personal data protection policy of the Gencat website

The Government of Catalonia guarantees the right to the protection of personal data provided through this application under the terms established by Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on personal data protection and digital rights guarantees, and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of the European Parliament and of the Council, relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, implementing the necessary and appropriate security measures according to the type of personal data.

The data required will be strictly necessary, appropriate, and relevant for the purpose for which they are collected and will be subject to automated processing.

On each page containing forms that collect personal data, data subjects will be explicitly informed of:

• The existence of a processing of personal data.
• The identity and contact details of the data controller.
• The contact details of the data protection officer.
• The purposes of the processing for which the personal data are intended and the legal basis for the processing;
• The categories of recipients of personal data.
• The period during which the personal data will be retained.
• The existence of the right to request from the data controller access to personal data concerning the data subject, and its rectification or erasure, as well as to object to or restrict its processing.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, if the communication of personal data is a legal or contractual requirement.
• The existence of automated decisions including profiling.
