This table proposes to stress some of the urgent debates that the emergence of artificial intelligence in the cultural ecosystem poses. At the centre, its impact on creative processes: between collaboration and extraction, AI challenges established notions of authorship, alters production conditions and opens up new conflicts around rights of use. It will also be discussed how these technologies reconfigure the logics of symbolic circulation and reinforce asymmetries in a platform-dominated ecosystem, questioning not only creation but also traceability and the way in which archives, memories and, therefore, cultural heritage are built, determined and accessed.
