This roundtable, continuing the debates promoted by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) on cultural diplomacy, aims to reflect on
the adoption of a cultural rights-based approach in international cultural exchanges: what facilitates or hinders the participation of artists and cultural professionals on the international stage?;
collective responsibility and cultural diplomacy: how can we bring together the diverse ecosystem of organisations, from governments to cultural institutions, networks, civil society organisations, etc., when engaging in cross-border activities?; and
representation: how can international exchanges highlight the voices of underrepresented communities and incorporate them into the global conversation on international cultural cooperation?
