This roundtable brings together three international processes converging at Culturopolis 2025, which, from different contexts, share a conviction: cultural rights are essential for a living democracy and a just ecological transition.
From the Fribourg Declaration —a foundational text currently under review— through the Barcelona Declaration on Cultural Rights, to the Nomadic Laboratory for Cultural Rights in Latin America, driven by networks of community organisations and institutions: three initiatives that dialogue, share analyses, and open paths for international cooperation.
This meeting proposes forging alliances to confront setbacks and promote, through culture, practices of justice, recognition, and social transformation.
